Countertops & stone

Quartz, granite, quartzite and marble each want slightly different care — but gentle cleaning and trivets go a long way.

Routine care

Clean with warm water and mild soap; avoid harsh or acidic cleaners on natural stone.
Use trivets and hot pads — thermal shock can damage any surface.
Wipe spills quickly on marble and other porous stone; reseal natural stone as recommended.
Always cut on a board, never directly on the surface.
